Well, it was a good ride having the bar and store on Nicholasville Road, but at 6:30pm tonight we turned out the lights for the last time. Thanks to all who supported us for the past 13 years! We are still in business at our airport store, just downsized to have some more personal time. Now, it’s time for the next chapter…

Other Update Stuff

• The Wine Bar will be OPEN today and tomorrow. "Last Call" for a glass of wine is tomorrow at 8:00 PM.

• Beginning Monday, November 15th our hours will be 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. You'll still have time to pick up your Wine Club and some of Bev's crazy case deals!

• The store will be open through the end of day on November 24th - so be thinking what you'll need for that delicious Thanksgiving feast.

📻 Bev Makes her Radio Debut!

It took all these years . . but we finally got Bev to go on the Wine Wednesday radio show we've been doing with Jack Pattie on WVLK.

Her best line . . "yeah, I had to come down here to break up the Boys Club!!"

Our thanks to Jack for memorable mornings of mayhem (over wine) - and all the folks at WVLK for their support and friendship. It's been a great ride.

The big, on-line auction kicks off tomorrow (Saturday Nov 13, 2021) morning at 10am.

We've got a wonderful selection of wine and bourbon collectibles along with bourbon barrels, decorative barrel heads, commercial equipment, retail displays and more that you can bid on.

NOTE: many of the items have been moved to the showroom at Bluegrass Auction on Floyd Drive where you can view them today from 10 am to 6 pm. You can also see the items on their website at Bluegrassauction.com.

This is a LIVE / ON-LINE auction with owner Chuck McKee. You can follow along and bid from your phone or computer. If you're going to bid - please be sure to go to their web site and register.

The fun starts at 10 AM tomorrow!

Pretty much everything in the store (except the wine & spirits) will be part of the auction - including all of the custom tables, chairs, wine & bourbon glasses, the bar and backbar, wine racks, and a collection of wine and bourbon barrels, displays and one-of a-kind items we've collected over the years.

🗓 Other Updates

Here' a quick outline of how we'll be operating for the next several weeks:

• The Wine Bar will be OPEN now through Saturday November 13th. A lot of folks have been coming by to have a glass or two - and that will continue until we no longer have any chairs (after the auction) !! :)

Saturday evening (the 13th) will be the "last call" from the Wine Bar.

• The auction at Bluegrassauction.com will close NEXT Saturday (November 13th)

• Monday, November 15th - we will be open - and our hours will be 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Of course, we may . . (or may not!) have any wine left at that point - but we'll be here for you to pick up any Wine Club bags or items you got from the auction.

Right now, we plan to be open through the end of day on November 24th - and then go enjoy a nice Thanksgiving . . like normal people! We'll keep you posted.

This weekend we're featuring Brown Estate's 2017 Zinfandel and Gibbs 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon. Both from Napa Valley.

Remember . . the Wine Bar is open until the bitter end :)) . . . and we'll be glad to pour you a glass of these (or others from our wine menu) and talk about the great times we've had together.
