It’s not goodbye - its see you later, right?
After 15 months of serving this incredible community, Sliders will be closing its doors as of February 1st. This decision comes with a profound sense of sadness, as what started as a dream — a vision of bringing people together over delicious food, great drinks and Co****le — has come to an unexpected and difficult end.
These 15 months have been filled with extreme joy, laughter, and the connection we’ve shared with each of you goes unmatched. From the very first time we served you, to the countless meals shared and friendships made, Sliders was never just a restaurant. It was a gathering place, a home, a space where we could share not only great food but great stories and friendly competition, too.
We are deeply grateful for the trust, loyalty, and love you’ve shown us. You allowed us to be a part of your lives, whether it was a casual lunch, a celebratory dinner, or a competitive game of Co****le. You allowed us to be US, unequivocally and without remorse. We never held back whether it was on social media or in person. Those are memories that we will cherish and what will stay with us forever.
But as with many dreams, we must also face the realities. Despite our best efforts and the dedication from our amazing team — the increased cost of doing business at our current location, rent increases and a slowing economy of the past few months has left us with no choice.
We will miss the conversations, the laughter, the faces of friends old and new, and the daily rhythm of preparing food and drinks we truly believed in. Sliders was always more than just a business; it was a reflection of the heart of this community, and leaving it behind feels like saying goodbye to something we cherished deeply.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your support, your patronage, and the sense of belonging you gave us during this short but beautiful time. We will forever be grateful for the opportunity to serve you.
