The Anchor Coffee House was founded in 2017 by Groome Church Lewes congregants Mike and Lorraine Messitt, and was established to provide musical performances and other activities to the greater Lewes Community for 5 years. Groome’s sanctuary, with superlative acoustics, served as an intimate venue to showcase local and regional talent.

GROOME CHURCH LEWES IS OPEN NOW for non-denomination worship service....meeting on Sundays @ 10 am. Come enjoy the Bell Choir, Adult vocal choir, and listen to Piano and Organ in the beautiful historic Groome Church Lewes. All are Welcome.

Groome Church is looking for Adult Choir members! NO Experience Needed, so Come Join Us! There is also NO Requirement to Join the Church…But who knows, you may just find a home here anyways. 🤷‍♂️

Recorded live at Groome Church Lewes !! Delmarva Ramblers Bluegrass Band - 2020 "Songs of Salvation" CD.

Watha reports: "As I was on my way to church this morning (around 10:30 a.m.), I heard the Delmarva Ramblers on the radio (100.9 FM). Craig Banks played “God Has Been So Good To Me.” It really sounded good. Just wanted you to know that we had some air-play again."

6/18 Concert - Double header Concert, with Bob Crabb of Lewes, DE, - plus - The Acme Anvil Co. with Jerry and Nancy Maliwesky, of Dover Delaware. Folk, Pop, Blues, Oldies, Originals too. $10 cash at the door. The Coffee House opens at 6 pm, to purchase Coffees, Tea and Cocoa, or cold beverages. ($1 a piece.). What a deal! Plus purchase pastries homemade, & from local Baked Goods sources. Come early, Meet the musicians. Concert in the upstairs historic maritime sanctuary. Fabulous sound system, Concerts appropriate for teens on up!

Last night's Seven Celtic Nations Concert was a full house of 133 people,... if you count the 8 musicians,10 volunteers, and we do! Thanks to the community for a grand turnout, and to the volunteers, who make the "Anchor" so successful. We ran out of song sheets, but it didn't stop the crowd who sang along with gusto (so many knowing all the lyrics). If anyone wants to share a comment, or photo they took at the concert, please do here. Well done all ☘️!
