California will be the first state to ban most law enforcement, including federal immigration agents, from covering their faces while conducting official business under a bill signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom. https://abc7.com/17856254/

The ban is California's direct response to a recent series of immigration raids in Los Angeles where federal agents wore masks while making mass arrests.

This is how a dream ends.
This is how a small business dies in the commonwealth of Mass. This is what happens to a $180,000 investment in to a community ends. We tried reaching out to local politicians, the Governor, senators, no help from anyone. There are many local communities that worked with their small bars to open, Leominster told the 3 bars to “just put in a kitchen” a commercial kitchen is about $40,000, but the board of health would not bend at all for us.
I’d like to thank the people and groups that supported the Tap for 3 years. The Members of local 1841, the Leominster DPW and PD, the postal employees, the YMCA, TC Landos, C&M pizza, Our vendors, Young Refridgeration, the Blue Star Mother’s, local Veterans, so many great customers that have become friends. My friends Wayne Beauregard and Mike Fusco that we’re always there when I had questions. We were told we could open, we had our Retail food permit, we had a menu of hot dogs, brats, chicken wings, pizza and potato skins, but not enough to satisfy the City of Leominster health dept. we opened for 7 days when we were told to shut down, but yet our customers could go 10 minutes down Rt 12 and have a beer in the Burg. We spent thousands on inventory, plumbing and PPE, that we wasted because bars couldn’t open in Leominster. We will have a party soon so we can thank everyone personally. To my team that kept me focused, thank you all. It was a great run while it lasted. See you all soon I hope.
