Friday, September 18, 2026, Jack Ray Post 5789, VFW, is holding a Remembrance Ceremony for all POW/MIA’s. It will be held at the William B. Howard Station Park, by the fountain, at 6:00 PM. The ceremony will last approximately 20 minutes. The 560+ members of our post and the thousands of veterans of foreign wars residing in out our area would like to extend an invitation for you to attend and help us honor and remember those Veterans that are POW/MIA.

The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars invite everyone to join us for a memorial service commemorating 9/11 and the impact upon our country and those who serve. The memorial service will on Friday 9/11 begining @ 6:00PM at the William B. Howard Station Park in downtown Lee's Summit.
