Hey all, sorry for the complete silence for the last couple months. All is well, in fact it's much better than that. One of my brewing goals has come to fruition, as I have gotten a brewing gig at Joseph James Brewing Company. I've known these guys for years and I am excited to be a part of the local brewing community.

While I am dedicating my skill and knowledge to JJBC, I still am doing everything in my power to continue to learn and grow as a brewer. So if the stars align (opportunity and money), one day I'll be able to successfully complete my dream of having my own brewery.

Support your local breweries, and be sure to come say hi to the JJBC crew and myself at the brewery and other events throughout town!

Results from the 2012 SNAFU memorial are up and I placed 5 of 8 entries! Including 3 first place w/ Mongrel, Burning Bright, and BullMilk. Neon Jungle and Crankshaft each took a third in their categories. Not too bad if I say so myself :)

The Sheldon Jackson Award is awarded to the homebrewer who, in the opinion of the judges, makes the best use of hops. This award is open to all categories.

Thirty years ago, the concept of a craft-beer power ranking system was inconceivable. Back then, there were only a handful of breweries pumping out suds that deviated from the watery-lager norm.
