Sadly, the news is true. Iconic will be taking a winter hiatus as we attempt to find investment capital. Bottom line, despite all our due diligence, is we made the classic mistake of undercapitalizing and all those very unexpected expenses to get her up and running coupled with not recognizing how extremely hard it is to earn customers and find exactly what entices them left us running out of time to grow a customer base… And Time costs money. We thought there was a need in the community and that if you build it they will come… we were wrong. You have to build it, and then market it, and change it and change it again and hope for the very best. Business is tough and we greatly respect those who do find a way to make it work and are humbled. We sincerely wish you continued success.

We are beyond grateful to the amazing staff who stuck with us as we struggled and learned, and further grateful to the many kind and generous souls in the community and industry, friends old and new, whom we encountered. The Las Vegas LGBTQ community has an interesting cast of characters to put it mildly and it was an experience to say the very least. A Nightclub is like having a kid… it brings you some of the greatest moments of joy as well as heartache and disappointment. We are grateful for both as they help shape us into better people. It’s just a nightclub, but we hopefully touched a few lives in a positive way and gave a few people some fun memories to cherish.

Though this is probably the end, news some will be thrilled by and others disheartened, please remember to try and be kind to one another. We are the 1,657,387 nightclub to try and fail and life goes on. Greatness courts failure and without it, we won’t ever learn anything new.
