To all of our loyal friends and guests,

As most of you know by now, when the pandemic hit many businesses in the area were hit hard and either were forced to or chose to close. We wound up being one of those places. However, we did not completely close, when faced with adversity one must adapt and overcome, and that is exactly what we have done. Sports Rock had its time and we appreciate all the love and support each and every one of you have given us over the years. For the better part of a decade you all stuck with us and became so much more than guests, you became family. with a whole brand new location @ 2914 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, FL. We invite you to like our new bar page to keep up with all specials and events and to come up and check out the new establishment. OPEN INVITATION TO ALL BAR AND NIGHTCLUB INDUSTRY

SUBJECT: protest at City Hall in downtown Clearwater. Peaceful and professional rally/protest to have our voice heard on opening bars. Join us with your signs and flags. Bar owners, bar staff, and entertainers.



SHCEDULED FOR: Wednesday May 20 at 10:30 am

PLACE: 315 Court St, Clearwater, Florida 33756



All Bar & Nightclub industry workers are welcome to create signs and show support for re-opening our industry. Owners & Managers invite your staff. Just remember, we may be on the News not only locally, but possibly nationally. So, dress accordingly, and please no profanity on your signs. This is our chance to get noticed and we need to send a clear message to the “powers that be” that we can open our businesses and do it safely just like everyone else.



Below is a message that is circulating among Pinellas/Pasco bar owners from Rich Bantock.



Bar owners have been hit the hardest throughout this Covid-19 pandemic. The government has asked us to close, we have complied, we have no ability to work from home, or have to go orders, we were not even allowed partially open in Phase one. We have our licenses, we are zoned properly, we collect and pay sales tax, we pay our taxes and we create jobs, we have not seen any financial relief at all, the bills are still mounting.



Companies like Amazon, Walmart, Costco, and Liquor stores have been allowed to stay open throughout this process. Malls are opening this past weekend, Macy’s, Dillard’s and other mass retailers are open.



Restaurants with bars are open and they are packed along with beaches drawing a mass of amount people.



With all that said, we are not allowed to open in any capacity and we are not given a timeline when we can open. It is now time to take matters into our hands as we need to come together and organize. I would like to form a formal protest and hope the governor of the Great state of Florida listens to our needs. We need to be heard, we need to stand together or we will fall together. I am asking all bar owners to stand up and rally for your business that has been a constant in your local community, LETS DO THIS TOGETHER!

Greetings customers of Sports Rock,

We hope you are doing well in these difficult times.

As stated Earlier Sports Rock will be ceasing operation at 12654 Starkey Rd. We are still in the process of finalizing details for the next chapter of The Rock. We should have more details in a few days to a week. Please keep following our posts and we will let you know everything as soon as we know.

We hope to serve you again at our new location as soon as the Governor announces Phase 2 and we have moved in. We thank you for being the heart beat of our bar and for years of patronage. You guys are the Rock in Sports Rock and we will see you again soon.
