Job Title: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager
Location: Private Club – La Porte, IN
Position Overview:
Our private club in La Porte is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to oversee all kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in food quality, leadership, and running an efficient, organized kitchen. You’ll have the opportunity to create menu specials, manage staff, and take full ownership of the kitchen’s day-to-day performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and prepare daily and weekly food specials
* Plan menus and ensure consistent food quality and presentation
* Order food and kitchen supplies while managing inventory
* Maintain cost control, minimize waste, and stay within budget targets
* Hire, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
* Coordinate with club management on events, menus, and member preferences
* Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Experience with menu planning and cost control
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Serve Safe certification or ability to obtain
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
* Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
