It is with heavy heart that I’m announcing The Black Oak Inn is closed (at least for the short term) . We’ve held on as long as we could since 2 winters ago and have been scraping by ever since. With summer coming to an end and business being slower than usual we couldn’t fiscally keep the doors open anymore.

I just wanted to say a giant thank you and express my gratitude for your loyal patronage over the last several years, it has been the pleasure of my life serving you and getting to know you all.

Where my kids and I go from here, is still up in the air but if we don’t see you all again I apologize. With school starting back up I’m in complete panic mode trying to find a place to live and to try and start over and provide for my children. Thank you all once more and I’m sorry that I failed. I’m sorry to the community for not living up to the Black Oak name. I know the future owners will do it better than I ever could. God bless.

Princess Mina graduates kindergarten and her ceremony is in Town at 230 so the bar and kitchen will be open tomorrow starting at 4pm

Then we have a funeral in Madison Saturday so Amber will be here for all your food and beverage needs Sat 3-9 and Sun 4-8

My first ever attempt at smoking a Brisket was a wild success! Don’t mind me not wearing gloves as this was just a test run to see how it would turn out. I plan on offering Brisket as a special trout the summer. Plus there isn’t any left at this point once the kids and I started devouring it!! Happy GORGEOUS Sunday ya’ll. Here’s to being ready for Summer to arrive!
