I have noticed a bunch of new likes on my page so I wanted to take some time to introduce myself to you and say THANK YOU for following! I wanted to give you an idea of who I am and why I Am. First of all, I am a wife to a wonderful man named Michael who currently is a Real Estate agent. I am also a Stepmom to two amazing little girls and a dogmom to a Frencie and a Chihuahua. I have been a hairdr

esser for about 10 years and about two years ago I became a salon owner. That was a decision that catapulted me into some very high stress levels & burnout soon ensued. I had a very low point just after I took over ownership of the salon where every stylist left my shop to go work at the salon across the street. There I was, a first time business owner, left on my own to figure out how to keep going and pay the rent! I knew then and there that I did not ever want that to happen again! I wanted to have a backup plan and feel the passion for life that I knew I could get back. I stumbled upon a group of friends who were having fun in network marketing and fell in love with it! Little did I know that there would be two avenues that I would cruise down that would re-ignite my passion for doing hair and bring me to a place of positivity that I have always hoped for. Direct Cellars is a company that has not only helped me get in touch with some amazing wines from around the world; but, it has truly given me back ME. My fun loving, California wine country girl that has been there all along is back! In fact, I recently moved back home to the heart of wine country to learn more about wine and be closer to my family. This page is a platform to share my story and help others that might be struggling with the same issues, changes and hardships to know that it is possible to find balance and feel better! Today, I still own the salon and I'm happier than I've ever been! There is such satisfaction in doing ALL the things I am passionate about! I still work on myself every day while talking to people who were once where I was and helping them regain balance and regain their passion for life! I'm SO excited!!!!

You know when you're super pumped for your friends who have shown you that anything is possible? ? ?
That's me tonight.
After working for many DECADES behind the chair & running a large salon in Dallas, my mentors Buddy & Karen are finally able to have the freedom to take it easy and hang out more with their daughter!

The aches and pains that come along with being a career stylist, are hardcore!! Rotator cuff, knees and back injuries to name a few.
And spending time away from family can break a parents heart.
These two rockstars are still able to keep their beautiful daughter in a private school and be there for all of her important milestones from here on out!
Way to go, Sharps!!

A long time ago, when I lived in Wyoming, one of my roommates taught me this Caprese salad recipe.
It's spring mix, mozzarella, avo, basil, tomatoes or red bell AND a dash of olive oil & balsamic. Sprinkle some salt & pepper to finish and you've got yourself a delicious side dish to finish out the summer!

This pic was taken 3 years ago. It popped up in my memory feed this morning☀️.
You may or may not know this 🤔 but, we've moved 🚚 7 times, through 4 States 🇺🇸 in the past 5 years. 🤤
For a 💇hairdresser who relies on consistent clients to earn a living, it's been a real struggle for me to keep starting over in a new place.
There were times when I couldn't afford the rent at my salon, I had to borrow money 🙈and offer my services at an extremely discounted price, just to try to make ends meet.

It was humbling to say the least and I knew that I wanted to be able to make money somehow, without being tied to a location or trading hours for dollars.

I finally found what worked for me and it has brought me so much more than extra income!

I have noticed a bunch of new likes on my page so I wanted to take some time to introduce myself and to you and say THANK YOU for following!
I wanted to give you an idea of who I am and why I am....
I've recently changed my page up to give YOU as much value as I can when it comes to REAL LIFE as a 40-something, hairstyling entrepreneur with unexplained infertility who loves well-being and BALANCE!

Im heading to the hardware store to get supplies.
Should I:
1. Seal it and leave it with this "patina" finish
2. Paint it white
3. Paint it black
4. Paint it purple
5. What should I do???
