A local dive bar with some big britches, Harry’s Banana Farm is a fine place to stop in after a hard day of work for a shot and a beer. Don’t make the mistake of just driving by and chuckling at the latest witticism on the sign on front (“More people read this sign than your stupid blog”) -- stop in! Make sure you don’t order anything fancy – a ca

n of PBR or a bottle of Bud is about Harry’s speed – and don’t spend too much time examining the plethora of knick-knacks, trinkets and doo-dads festooning the walls, ‘cause you’ll look like a damn tourist. Penthouse once called this the sleaziest bar in the country (it’s not even the sleaziest in Palm Beach County) and there’s an, ahem, paperback lending library to boot. Sure, there’s fried stuff, including alligator, and if you make a habit of eating dinner at dive bars, knock yourself out. Maybe we're just feeling our mortality at the Juice, or maybe we like the idea of tossing down a shot of something strong whenever the world hands us yet another good reason!
