EXCITING CHANGES ARE HAPPENING AT BRIDGE'S!

I have been thinking a lot about what makes Bridge’s a special place to hang out and it really comes down to it’s history. What comes with a long history is memories and stories. And boy do we have an abundance of stories. Funny stories, heartwarming stories, and flat out crazy stories have been created by generations of family, bartenders and customers. This is why we say “We’re not just a bar… we’re family”. It’s not just a tag line, its what my grandparents set out to create when they opened the doors in 1947.

My dad continued their dream for over 40 years and I have had the privilege to continue it for the last 13. (Next summer will be our 80th anniversary!) Bridge’s has survived the test of time with each generation bringing their own vision and changes. But, the core of being a welcoming place to meet up with family, old friends, or make new friends who you eventually consider family, has remained.

Which leads me to some new, exciting, changes! After 13 years, my goal is to start slowly stepping away from the daily operations. So, I am extremely excited to announce who will be stepping in to new Management roles!

BUSINESS/BAR MANAGER - SOPHIE LONGA
Most of you know my daughter, Sophie, because of the fabulous job she’s done bartending over the years. What you may not know is that she has been taking on more and more business responsibilities in the past couple years and is more than ready to take on this new role. You will still see Sophie bartending from time to time but will eventually transition to working on the business during weekdays. This will make Sophie the 4th generation of our family involved in running the bar. My grandparents would be very proud. I know I am!

MARKETING/EVENT MANAGER - BRITTANY COPP
The Bridge and Copp families have a long history of close friendships and share a love for stock car racing. We have supported each other’s racing endeavors through multiple generations. So, we excitedly welcomed another family connection when Brittany started bartending this year. Not only is Brittany a fabulous bartender, she also has great business and marketing skills and quickly took over our social media accounts with ease. You will continue to see Brittany behind the bar while she also expands her marketing reach along with adding event planning and management. Can’t wait to see what she accomplishes!

The most exciting part is the supportive team they are creating between each other and the rest of Bridge’s staff. I am looking forward to what this new generation brings to Bridge’s future. Please join me in congratulating and supporting Sophie and Brittany on this new journey!
