COOL STORY OF THE DAY:

Anya and Will are siblings, separated at birth. They were all adopted from El Salvador in 1983 and just found each other about a year ago. Last year around this time they met for the first time for dinner right here in Lake Milton at The Grandview, and a year later they wanted to meet up again. Anya couldn’t remember if we were the place they first met, so she messaged us with the first two pictures hoping that from the background we would be able to identify if we were the restaurant where they first met, because they wanted to meet again at the same place a year later. It sure was here that they met, as we confirmed, so yesterday they met up here again! There is actually a 3rd sibling that the two found also but she wasn't able to make it. The crazy thing is that despite being separately adopted by different families, they all have lived within 2-4 hours of each other their whole lives.

We are so thrilled that they chose The Grandview for their first meeting, and again for their second. We are honored to be a small part of their story, and thank you for sharing it with us! Cheers to family! We love that you guys found each other after all these years! Hope to see you (and your third sibling) here for another meal again soon!

🚨🚨🚨 Heads up Grandview Tavern regulars — we’ll be closing early today at 2PM due to staffing shortages. We regret that there will be no Monday dinner service… no Mexican Monday, no half priced desserts.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support of our small business and staff. We’ll be back at it tomorrow during normal hours.
