The Cats Nobody Asks About 💔🐾

Every shelter has them.

The cats who watch visitors walk by.
The cats who don’t rush to the front of the room.
The cats who aren’t kittens anymore.

The cats who have been waiting so long that, somehow, they begin to blend into the background.

At CCFOA, Miss Peaches, Sweet Pea, and Louise are three of those cats.

All three are adults. All three are beautiful. All three are waiting.

And all three are being missed.

There is nothing wrong with being an adult cat. In fact, adult cats can make wonderful companions. Their personalities are already there to discover. Some are calm. Some are silly. Some want a quiet lap. Some just need a little time before they decide you are worthy of their affection.

But kittens have a way of stealing the spotlight.

So the next time you visit us, we are asking you to look a little longer.

Look at Miss Peaches.
Look at Sweet Pea.
Look at Louise.

Visit the adult cats that fill our adoption rooms.

And the next time you visit a shelter, don’t only ask about the kitten bouncing in the kitten room.

Ask about the quiet cat.
Ask about the one who has been there awhile.
Ask about the cat nobody else seems to notice.

Because sometimes the cat nobody asks about is simply waiting for one person to finally ask.
