Walk-in a stranger and leave as family! In the early summer of 2015, the team that would become Halpatter Brewing Company, came together by happenstance, when brothers-in-law Chris Candler and Jeremy Gable contacted fellow Lake City homebrewer Jonny Frazier after reading a public interest article written about him in a local news magazine. Though the intent was never to open a brewery, after sever
al brewing sessions, the three became fast friends and realized that they created a dynamic team, each with a different but vital set of skills: with Chris as a long time business owner, Jonny as an engineer, and Jeremy as a graphic designer. The venture was officially formed late that year and public interest began to grow almost immediately. Within months, Halpatter was accepting invitations to attend charity events and festivals. And on December 2, 2017, they officially opened their downtown Lake City location in the historic Montogmery building. Now open over six years with two tap rooms, an outdoor beer garden and live music venue, a 100-seat event space, and a full service kitchen and menu that creates a true gastropub experience, the staff and owners of Halpatter look forward to continuing their passion of brewing great beer and creating experiences that positively impact their neighbors and visitors alike.
