We are a mid-sized brewpub located in the heart of historic downtown Lafayette, IN, and just minutes from the campus of Purdue University. Our family friendly environment features a large dining area. We also have a spacious bar and comfortable banquet facility in our 2nd floor Beer Hall for the 21+ crowd. ently the 2nd oldest operating brewery in the state. Our brewery philosophy is to brew traditional ale & lager styles while incorporating high quality ingredients and innovative practices to create a distinctive array of beers. Our kitchen focuses on generous portions of unique pub fare, and we feature quality, locally-produced ingredients whenever practical. Stop by and experience a bit of Indiana's craft brewing history. 32 years. Same spot. Same look on his face.

We were cataloging pieces at Lafayette Brewing Company when we pulled up their old Facebook photos and there he was, in these pictures throughout the years. Purdue Pete. We're not sure he's moved an inch since 1993.

As we begin the final couple days at Lafayette Brewing Company, we want to give thanks to everyone who has come out and supported us over these last few weeks. It's been emotional but so great seeing old and familiar faces stopping in for the last time. And a HUGE thank you to our wonderful staff for sticking it out until the end. You all are what makes LBC what it has been known and loved for. We'll be open normal hours Friday and Saturday, but may be running out of items. Last day of operations will be Saturday, December 20th. Thank you all for your support! Cheers 🍻 ❤️

It is with great sadness that we must announce our pending closing. After 32 years as one of Indiana’s first brewpubs and Tippecanoe County’s original craft brewery, Lafayette Brewing Co will be closing our doors at the end of business on Saturday, December 20. We are humbled and honored by the support shown by the Greater Lafayette community over the past 32 years. In 1993, the idea of a small, local brewery was nearly unimaginable to most people, yet the concept spread across the nation, and showcased the value these small breweries added to their local communities. We are honored by the small role we could play in craft beer’s uprising, and more importantly, the role we played in our community. Downtown Lafayette has made a stunning transformation over the past 3 decades- evolving from a Main St with every other building vacant into the vibrant and bustling model downtown we have today. We hope our little brewery on Main St helped play a small part in that development. We are also immensely proud and grateful for the group of folks who passed through our doors as team members over the years. We count them as part of our family and wish them only the best. They also spawned a pretty sizable extended LBC family along the way! And finally, a big “CHEERS!” to everyone who stopped in over the years to enjoy a pint, a meal, live music, a Winter Warmer or just good conversation. To all those who made it possible for us to live our dream, we send much love! Greg & Nancy Emig
