It’s Mahjong Monday at the Lafayette brewery! Mahjong is a classic tile-based game of skill, strategy, and luck that originated in China in the 19th century, and it’s experiencing a resurgence.

Every Monday evening we host Mahjong Monday at the Lafayette brewery. No need to bring supplies, just come by and enjoy a few pints, meet some new friends, and learn the game.

Today we’re happy to welcome The Maine Event back to our Lafayette brewery. They’ll be serving some fresh lobster rolls and more from 12:30-6:30pm or so. Nothing like a lobster roll and chilly pint of Mexican Lager on a warm day.

Our Erie pub will also be open from noon to 9pm today.

We’ve got a real fresh batch of Regent Red on draught and in cans to-go at the Erie pub and Lafayette brewery. This is a brewer’s beer - balanced and repeatable but still full of character. I’ve always loved a well-made, hop-forward Red Ale (R.I.P. Odell Red). I’ve got many fuzzy memories of 2 for $5 pints of “Better Off Red” at Madison, Wisconsin’s Vintage Brewing back in my early craft beer exploration days. Regent (5.6% ABV.) is my go at the style, with great local barley from Root Shoot Malting and plenty of toasty, toffee-like specialty malts from England. This batch features a new favorite experimental hop, HBC 1134, in the kettle for delicate lemon & floral notes, and our Oregon-grown Centennial hops in the Dry Hop for a nice pop of dank grapefruit in the finish. It’s a really nice batch and I hope you get a chance to try it.

We will be open today at 3pm in Erie and Lafayette, and tonight is our Sunset Concert at the Lafayette brewery. Shawn Cunnane will be here playing some classic rock & folk tunes, and Deun Deun Box will be serving great food.

It’s gunna be a HEATER today. If you wanna cool off over a cold beer at the downtown Erie Farmer’s Market tonight, we got you! We’re pouring at 4pm and Weedhart Sandwich Shop will also be open.

It’s also our Bluegrass Pick in Lafayette at 6pm, and Chicken Menace Food Truck will be making their first trip to the brewery. Crazy good chicken sandwiches, tenders, & more.

It’s the first Wednesday of the month so it’s Open Mic at our Lafayette brewery. Signups start at 5:30pm and 20 minute performances go from 6-9pm. We’re also excited to welcome out one of Denver’s most popular food trucks: La Mesa.

We will also have the taps open in Erie tonight, with our downtown pub opening at 4pm.

We had a total blast yesterday. Thanks to our community for supporting yet another Dead West celebration - 7 years and running! And a thanks to the bands: Lazy Summer Home Duo, Elle Michelle's Grateful Holler, and Crick Wooder.

Today is our annual Dead West celebration at the Lafayette brewery, and as is the case each year, we made a very special beer for the event. This year’s release is called Ace.

Brewed to honor the life and legacy of the Grateful Dead’s “other one,” Bob Weir, Ace is a modern West Coast IPA crafted with super pale Canadian Pilsner malt, German Vienna malt, Montana-grown wheat, and Dextrose. We went all in, layering big additions of Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe, and Nectaron T-90 hop pellets alongside Centennial Incognito, Columbus Cryo, and Krush Quantum, resulting in huge notes of guava, white grapefruit, & cannabis with a dry & crisp finish. Ace (7.2%ABV.) will be available at the Lafayette brewery today when the festivities kick off at noon. Both draught and cans while they last.

We have a great lineup of music for today: Lazy Summer Home Duo is playing from 1 to 3pm(ish), then Elle Michelle's Grateful Holler will take the stage around 4pm. Crick Wooder will be finishing things off with a 6:30pm performance. We also have McDevitt Taco Supply onsite all day serving great food.

Lastly, this is a highly anticipated event and our busiest day of the year - we do have 20+ parking spaces (with free street parking a block away on Carr), but if you're local, we suggest walking/biking to cut down on the automobile chaos. 🙏

We are so excited for another year of Dead West, and can't wait to listen to some music & share some beers with our community! 💀⚡️

Looks to be a sunny day on the Front Range, and we’ve got a very special Sunset Concert lined up at the Lafayette brewery: former Cellar West beer-server, Jeremy, is bringing his DJ Copter experience to the patio this evening. He’ll be spinning a couple sets starting at 6:30pm, and the always delicious Deun Deun Box will be serving tonight.

We’re also open & pouring at the downtown Erie pub at 3pm, and Weedhart will have the sandwich shop rocking. We’ve been all over the tomato pie & Polynesian Pale Ale combo lately.
