There’s a side of owning a small business that most people never see. 🩷

You see the finished jars. The pretty displays. The markets. The smiling faces. The exciting new flavors and the moments when I get to say, “WE SOLD OUT!” 🥹🙌

What you don’t always see is this.

Today we pulled EVERYTHING together to do a hard inventory — every finished product, every jar, every un-used ingredient, every material and every little piece that keeps this business moving — all for insurance purposes.

And standing there looking at it all was one of those moments where I realized just how much love, labor, sacrifice, time and absolute freaking determination lives inside this business.

Every single jar represents hours nobody sees.

The shopping. The hauling. The washing. The slicing. The dehydrating. The recipe testing. The labeling. The packing. The inventory. The paperwork. The late nights. The early mornings. The markets. The miles driven. The mistakes. The lessons. The moments of “How the hell am I going to pull this off?” followed by somehow… pulling it off anyway. 😂💪

Small business ownership isn’t always cute. Sometimes it looks like stacks of boxes, handwritten inventory sheets and counting jars until numbers stop looking like numbers. 🤣

But THIS is what building something from the ground up looks like.

It’s messy. It’s exhausting. It’s terrifying sometimes.

And it is also one of the things I am most proud of. 🩷

Because behind every jar of The Asian Liquor Lady is a ridiculous amount of work, an incredible team, a family that has sacrificed alongside me, and a dream that we continue choosing to believe in every damn day.

We aren't just making cocktail kits.

We’re building something.
Something bigger than a product.
Something that started as an idea and is slowly becoming an empire. 🥹🥃

And today, surrounded by inventory, boxes and complete chaos, I couldn't help but think…

There’s something incredibly special about watching the people around you grow. What started as friendship and cheering each other on has turned into watching two small businesses grow, hustle, succeed, and now finally get the opportunity to collaborate together. 🥹
