There’s a certain comfort in spotting an old-school pub front when the weather turns gray and the day starts asking for chowder, a burger, and one good pint. Washington does this better than most.
This waterfront tavern has that sturdy, lived-in energy you want in a small historic town. The sign out front, the no-fuss facade, the sense that boaters, day-trippers, and locals have all pushed through the same door for years. You can practically hear the clink of glasses and the low hum of a game on TV before you even step inside.
I love that our state still has rooms like this. Not polished within an inch of their life, just genuinely welcoming and tied to the rhythm of the street, the tide, and whoever wandered in hungry. 🔗👇🏻
