Kutztown Brew Crew Welcome all to the Kutztown Brew Crew page. We meet once a month on the first Wednesday of every month.

We are at the core a home brewing club with a focus on helping each other make the best possible home brewed beer -- but we are also a craft beer club. Spreading the word about good beer is our motive. So if you home brew or were thinking about home brewing or just have a great love for craft beer come out to our next meeting! Certainly not ready to go pro yet....lol, but I nervously dove in on the big tri clamp (really didn't want to mess it up, they're not cheap when you get that big). My starts and stops need a lot more practice, you can see one in the middle of the pic, but it came out nice and shiny with good pe*******on. Again, far from great, but workable and getting better.

So I have a tig welder I use on bigger automotive stuff, but I thought I'd give it a try on stainless sanitary..( a much more involved process). First attempt with a tri clamp on a keg for a home built bright tank. I know it's not the prettiest thing by any means, but it's solid with no internal oxidation so the back purged worked well. This is right after welding, so it will look better once it's cleaned up.
