June’s Artist of the Month is Krishna Adams! Her beautiful watercolors will be up all through June, so be sure to come check them out!

Seasons: Watercolors by Krishna Adams

“What begins as a search for calm becomes a luminous exploration of change. In Seasons, Adams departs from her roots in 3D art to embrace watercolor, moving from a period of restlessness in early 2025 to a bold new direction.

Working from nature and travels, she builds each piece through layered washes of color, balancing control with the medium’s fluid unpredictability. Numbered sequentially, the works trace an unfolding journey—of patience, experimentation, and growth.

Capturing the shifting moods of Tennessee’s seasonal intervals, Seasons offers intimate, atmospheric glimpses of place and time, inviting viewers into moments of quiet reflection.

Adams holds degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Middle Tennessee State University. She has curated over 50 exhibitions through her work with the State the last 11 years. previously she worked and taught at the Knoxville Museum of Art. Her art is held in private collections, and she continues to serve as a speaker, juror, and advocate for the arts.“
