HOLY MOLY. Why does Friday always act like it’s 47 days away?! Monday through Thursday drag their feet like they’ve got nowhere to be, and Friday takes its sweet little time showing up.

We’ve officially entered FALL. 🍂

The breeze.
The crisp air.
The locals have reclaimed their barstools.
The nights are a little quieter.
And the summer chaos has officially clocked out.

Well, sort of. 😂

We’ve entered that magical time of year when we can be slammed on a random Wednesday and the following Wednesday you could practically hear a pin drop.

There’s no rhyme.
No reason.
No predicting it.
And trust me, we’ve tried. 🙄

Weekends are weekends again.
The b**r is still cold.
The familiar faces are finding their way back.
And our cocktail menu? Well, it’s getting a little spooky, a little creative, and changing faster than the weather in October. 👻🍸

But here’s the thing about fall on the Outer Banks…

We get our people back. ❤️

The ones who have been working their tails off all summer. The ones who finally have time to sit down, catch up, tell a story or two, and enjoy a drink without looking at the clock.

And we have MISSED YOU!

Sometimes we think there are more of us than there really are.
And sometimes we look at the calendar and think, WHO THE HECK PLANNED ALL THIS?! 😂

Oh wait. That would be us.

But hey, we’re doing the dang thing and having a whole lot of fun along the way!

Today’s adventures…

✈️ Planes & Plows by morning! Coffee trailer loaded up and slinging caffeine!

☕ Lexi holding down the coffee shop inside Tap That! Keeping the espresso flowing and the people caffeinated!because she’s the BEST!

🎶 Music Bingo by night! Mattie & Rhonda with OBX Soundbites - music bingo & trivia are bringing the party to Tap That starting at 6:30!

Whew. Are you tired yet?
Because we haven’t even gotten to the good part!

If you missed Planes & Plows today, put it on your calendar for next year! What an AWESOME event!

An air show, 10+ bounce houses, axe throwing with Hometown Amusement, local vendors, food trucks, music, airplane owners opening up their hangars for everyone to explore, and of course, our coffee trailer!

Seriously, something for EVERYONE. The kids can bounce until they can’t bounce anymore, the adults can throw axes (because apparently that’s how we relax these days 😂), and the airplane enthusiasts can get their fix! What a fantastic day and an even better event to be part of!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled shenanigans.

We’ll be coming in hot, at 4pm, to trade our coffee cups for cocktail glasses and get ready for ROUND TWO!

It feels like FALL, y’all!

How about a little front porch sippin’, a hot cup of coffee in hand, and that crisp fall air that makes you feel like you’ve been wrapped up in a blanket fresh out of the dryer. You know the feeling. Pure. Cozy. Happiness.

And while you’re sittin’ there, the Outer Banks sky decides to show off like it’s got something to prove.

Those fall sunrises and sunsets?! SHEW. Somebody pinch me.

Fall is hands down my FAVORITE time of year here on the Outer Banks. The crowds thin, the air gets crisp, and Mother Nature reminds us why we put up with all the summer chaos.

Embrace it. Soak it up. Get outside. And for goodness’ sake, don’t sleep through all the sunrises! 😂

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but cancer in any form has touched far too many of us.

So this month, we’re raising a glass to the fighters. The survivors. The ones we’ve lost. The families standing beside them. And every single victory along the way.

Because a victory doesn’t always have to be huge.

Sometimes it’s a clear scan.
Finishing another treatment.
Getting your appetite back.
Laughing when you haven’t felt like laughing.
Or simply saying…

“Today was a good day.”

That deserves a cheers, too.

We’re here for it.
For you.
For the fight.
For the victories — big, small and everything in between.

Little plot twist for your Monday + Tuesday ☕️

Today and tomorrow, Tap That Bean will be opening at 4pm!

And stay tuned… because we’ve got some pivots coming over the next few weeks.

We’re keeping you on your toes, trying some new things and figuring out how to continue growing this little coffee side of our business that we love so much.

Because let me tell you one thing…
The tourists nailed it this summer.
We are working on the locals.

THE BEACH ROAD WILL NOT BE MY DEMISE. 😂

I will conquer it. Inside the box. Outside the box. Around the box. Hell, I’ll turn the box into a coffee shop if I have to. 😂☕️

That’s small business, right?!

Try something.
Adjust it.
