Maelstrom Abbey is a Belgian strong dark ale brewed with imported Belgian malt and dark candi sugar, European hops, and a Belgian yeast strain. Subtle notes of plum, pepper, and caramel. Large crystals of dark candi sugar (unrefined beet sugar) pictured below.
