The 2022-2023 season for Rusch’s Kimberly Bowl is officially over! With the season being over and summer time being our off time for our family and athletes, now is the time we look back and recognize our outstanding athletes. We would first like to recognize the 15 individuals for being in the Rusch’s Bowl 800 Club this year. Out of these 15 athletes, a total of 23 800 series were shot. A lot of new members joined, but also a lot of past members writing their names back in our books. Congratulations to all the members this year, and let the summer festivities begin!
Kyle Blaese shot three 800+ series this season. On October 26th, Kyle shot games of 288, 279, 279, for a huge 846 series. This 846 series is tied for 5th for the highest series in Rusch’s Bowl history. On November 16th, he shot games of 289, 278, 237, for an 804 series. On March 1st, he shot games of 300, 246, 278, for an 824 series. All of Kyle’s 800 moments would come from the Wednesday Night Men’s League.
Dan Bourassa on February 20th shot games of 289, 234, 279, for an 802 series while subbing in the Monday Night Men's League.
Chad DeBroux on February 8th shot games of 279, 251, 300, for an 830 series in the Wednesday Night Men's League.
Chuck DeShaney on December 3rd shot games of 247, 298, 257, for an 802 series in the Saturday Night Movie Couples.
Rick Garcia on January 9th shot games of 300, 278, 233, for an 811 series in the Monday Night Men's League.
Nick Hietpas shot two 800+ series this season. On December 18th, Nick shot games of 279, 248, 290, for an 817 series. His second 800 series would come less than one month later on January 18th when he shot games of 299, 268, 247, for an 814 series. All of Nick’s 800 moments would come from the Wednesday Night Men’s League. Nick was also to secure the men’s high average at Rusch’s Bowl with a 248.30.
Jeff Nimke on November 7th shot games of 254, 300, 279, for an 833 series in the Monday Night Men's League.
Trace Plass on December 28th shot games of 268, 267, 267, for an 802 series in the Wednesday Night Men's League.
Chris Rusch shot three 800+ series this season. Chris shot the first honor score(s) of the season on September 14th when he fired games of 237, 279, 300, for an 816 series. On November 16th, he shot games of 300, 238, 279, for an 817 series. His most notable set would come on January 4th when Chris fired games of 300, 299, 256, for a monster 855 series. This 855 series is 3rd for the highest series in Rusch’s Bowl history. All of Chris’s 800 moments would come from the Wednesday Night Men’s League.
Rachel Schmal shot the final 800+ series of the season on March 23rd with games of 279, 279, 268, for an 825 in the Thursday Night Mixed League. This was the first Women’s 800 series in recent memory for Rusch’s Bowl. Rachel was also to secure the women’s high average at Rusch’s Bowl with a 228.90.
Max Schmidt was one pin from the house record on November 23rd with games of 268, 289, 300, for an 857 series in the Wednesday Night Men’s League. The record is held by Kyle Blaese with an 858 series back on February 19th of 2020. This 857 remains tied for 2nd for the highest series in Rusch’s Bowl history. This was also the highest 800+ series this season.
Derek Stalewski on March 1st shot games of 278, 248, 289, for an 815 series in the Wednesday Night Men's League.
Jon Squires on January 21st shot games of 245, 298, 300, for a huge 843 series in the Saturday Night Beer Couples. We’re still verifying our records/stats, but this 843 series is potentially the 6th highest series ever bowled at Rusch’s Bowl.
Nick Vanheuklon on January 9th shot games of 300, 254, 279, for an 833 series in the Monday Night Men's League.
Chuck Wachter SR. shot two 800+ series this season. On October 29th, Chuck shot games of 278, 287, 235, for an 800 series right on the dot. Chuck’s second 800 series would come less than one month later on November 26th when he shot games of 300, 245, 257, for an 802 series. All of Chuck’s 800 moments would come from the Saturday Night Beer Couples which were also his first 800’s ever.
