🎨 ARTISTS: HERE’S YOUR CHANCE TO LEAVE YOUR MARK ON KEY WEST.
The Key West Business Guild is seeking an artist or artist team to create a permanent mural at 801 Duval Street, at the iconic intersection of Duval and Petronia.
Project budget: Up to $25,000.
Once home to Key West’s rainbow crosswalks, this intersection has long represented Pride, visibility, and the important place the LGBTQ+ community holds in our island’s story.
Now, we’re asking artists to imagine what comes next.
We’re looking for something bold, meaningful, creative, and unmistakably Key West, inspired by the rainbow crosswalks while celebrating the history, culture, people, and continuing presence of LGBTQ+ Key West.
🌈 Local, regional, national, and international artists are welcome to apply.
Proposal Deadline: October 9th at 5 PM EST
Artist Selected: October 14th, 2026
The selected design will then move through the City approval process, with HARC review anticipated in November and the City Commission in December.
