The Speakeasy Inn and Rum Bar A Guesthouse with an award-winning Rum Bar. This landmark's recent renovation has preserved the original 19th century spirit of Old Town Key West.

The Speakeasy Inn and Rum Bar is located right on Duval Street where you can shop or walk two blocks to the beach or a short stroll to world-famous Sunset Celebrations in Mallory Square! The decor in these spacious and airy suites is tropical and features hand-crafted queen beds and tables made from original 1876 pine recovered from our recent renovation. Amenities include flat-screen TVs with cable, free WiFi, A/C, coffee makers, refrigerators, microwaves, toasters, wood and/or tile floors, and all rooms have private baths, most with walk-in tiled showers. The lobby features the Rum Bar open daily from 11 to 11 (or later). Enjoy spectacular cocktails while watching the passers-by on the wrap around porch.

🍹 BARTENDER SPOTLIGHT: MEET KAYLA! ✨

If you’ve spent some time at The Rum Bar, chances are you’ve seen Kayla, also known as Sparkles behind the bar. Always bringing plenty of energy, lots of sparkles, and a smile that shines like Key West sunshine! ☀️🫧✨

Originally from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Kayla grew up spending summers on Kelley’s Island before trading Ohio island life for Key West island life. This October marks her 11th year in Key West! 🌴

Her go-to cocktail? A classic Mojito 🍃🍹 — although you can’t go wrong with her other favorite: dark rum & coconut water. And when it comes to rum, she’s currently loving Turquoise Bay, Pilar Dark, and RumHaven. 🥃

When she’s not behind the bar, Kayla loves staying active and keeping busy — which is one of the reasons bartending suits her so well. She also makes hula hoops and has a serious love for bubbles & sparkles! 🫧✨

And her favorite little ray of sunshine? Her almost 1-year-old mini-me, Zoey! 💕☀️
