Well, folks, it seems even immortal space goddesses’ failures eventually have to move on. Our beloved MadCap, the mischievous creation of an Immortal Space Goddess and a Stinky Mop Bucket, is moving on to its next destiny. Yes, after years of aimlessly wandering Earth, consuming nonsense, listening to punk, and perfecting the art of brewing (and making bad jokes), MadCap Brew Co. is officially closing its doors on July 6th.
It’s a bittersweet moment, to be sure. We’ll miss brewing tasty beer, the self-deprecating humor, and the sheer audacity of a brewery that proudly held the title of the 3rd best brewery in Kent (out of a grand total of three, a feat of statistical genius!). And let’s not forget our crowning achievement: the world’s flattest parking lot, a true marvel of engineering and commitment to... well, flatness.
So, as MadCap prepares to return to whatever cosmic shenanigans await it, let’s raise a final pint to a brewery that proved even a banished space-junk-turned-failed-MEGA-COMPUTER could find its niche, make some great beer, and leave an indelible, slightly warped, mark on Kent. Farewell, MadCap! May your next adventure be as wonderfully absurd as your origin.
