The Bistro & Beer Garden's last day of operations is upon us. We'll be open from 11am-8pm today. Come visit us and say goodbye. Thanks to all of you who have supported us in Downtown Kent throughout the years.

We’re sad to announce the final few weeks for The Bistro & Beer Garden in Downtown Kent are upon us. The last day of service is planned to be Saturday, October 26th, but we may have to adjust hours/days depending on staffing levels. This does not affect The Tap Room & Brewery location on 212th St, which will continue operating.

We informed our Bistro crew yesterday to hopefully give them a head start in finding new employment.

Thank you for all your support these past almost 13 years. We’d love to see you at The Bistro & Beer Garden this week enjoying lunch or dinner or whatever, but we’d suggest visiting sooner than later. I’m sure our employees would appreciate seeing you as well.

Now on tap: Fresh Hop Sky Hag IPA - featuring wet hops all grown in the Kent Valley. We partnered with the Neely-Soames Historic Homestead here in Kent, along with own customers to gather enough locally-grown Columbus, Cascade and Centennial hops to use in brewing one of our regular beers. Plus, we're making a donation to the Homestead for every pound of fresh hops we received.

Stop by either location for a pint. It doesn't get any more locally-fresh-hopped around here than this.

Fresh Hop Amarillo IPA: It’s always sunny when you look at a glass of the first of our fresh hop beers. Brewed with more than 100 lbs. of fresh, Oregon-grown Amarillo hops, this beer has everything you want in a fruity, flavorful freshie. On tap at both locations starting today. 6.1% ABV.

Friday marks the return of our Oktoberfest celebration to The Bistro & Beer Garden. We've lined up an amazingly tasty menu of German food specials this year. Can't join us Friday? We'll continue with the special menu on Saturday too.

If you're headed downtown for tonight's pre-season hockey game, stop by and check out a couple of new items we're trying out for our soon-to-return Happy Hour. We'll be serving up wings caramelized in mustard & marmalade sauce, and fennel & pork meatballs as the TBirds take on the Victoria Royals.

Thanks to everyone who brought in fresh hops to our brewery Saturday. Between what our customers had from their yards and hops picked at the Neely-Soames Historic Homestead, we were able to brew an all-locally grown fresh hop version of our Sky Hag IPA. Look for it on tap later this month at both of our locations.

And special thanks to our Mile High Mug Club members who stopped by and helped out during the brew session. You all are the best!
