COVID-19 Update: Hello everyone, clients and all interested parties. This is information about how the COVID-19 Pandemic is affecting BC Childress Bagpipes. I am fortunate in that I can keep working as my shop is a solo operation that is run from my home. In that many of my other activities have been postponed or cancelled, I have found myself with a significant amount of extra time to work on orders that are already on the books with deposits.

Those of you who are waiting for orders to be fulfilled: Due to the past 2 years of unprecedented sales, the order fulfillment deadlines slipped about 4-6 months. I, of course, couldn't refuse any orders. If you have an order on my books, please be patient as new and non-leadtime orders have slowed down. I look to be caught up by the end of the year. The further out your leadtime, the less this situation will affect it, if at all.

Everyone stay safe and take care of yourselves as best you can. Please, take this stuff seriously. And, I hope to see you at Tionols and Sessiuns soon! -BC

B-Pitched Half Set of Uilleann Pipes for sale!

This 1/2 set of Uilleann Pipes, pitched in B-natural, is for sale for immediate delivery upon payment. Details: 1/2 set Uilleann Pipes pitched in B-natural, African Blackwood, brass, imitation ivory (S-Ivory). The chanter has one key for the second-octave C-natural (D-Pitch nomenclature). The chanter has a wooden reed-cap with a brass "gooseneck" blowstem. The aesthetic design is simpler than my usual. The drone tuning slides are wood-on-wood which is a nice departure from my usual metal-on-wood drone tuning slides. The bellows are padded and are equipped with nylon-web quick-connect belts. A reinforced canvas rifle case is included. This set can be upgraded to a 3/4 or Full Set any time in the future. I have been playing this set for about a year now. But, the set shows very little wear. The reeds are well broken-in and everything is still airtight. The asking price is $4800.00 USD, with case. Shipping in the contiguous United States is included. International shipping will be extra depending on the destination.
