Newly renovated one bedroom apartment over the barn in a secluded wine country setting. Bucolic setting unseen from the main residence. Private parking, deck and entrance upstairs. It is a peaceful getaway with great views near beautiful Clearlake. Lake County is known for it's clean air and amazing stargazing. This is a working farm and is 100% solar powered. This is a smoke free property. There are no exceptions to the no smoking policy inside or outside (including on the deck).
Wildlife abound and are easily viewed from the private deck. Your view is all of nature. You have to look carefully through the trees to see the main residence. You might hear the pet cows being fed in the morning or they might think you are bringing treats (which is fine) and they will moo at you but your private entrance is separated from them by a fence. The interior is completely new with leather furniture and a queen size memory foam four poster bed. The bathroom is large with a tub/shower combo and a full size washer/dryer. There is a TV but no cable so a DVD player is available for your use. I have supplied a number of DVD's for your use if you choose not to bring your own. An electric fireplace provides not only heat but ambiance. The A/C is quite efficient and keeps the entire space cool in warm weather. The bedroom has a ceiling fan. The view from every window is of nature. You won't see any homes but you will see an abundance of birds, especially wild turkeys, doves, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, mountain bluebirds, etc. plus deer (be careful driving) and lots of squirrels. It's a short (5.8 mi) drive into Kelseyville and approximately 10 miles into Lakeport. The farm is solar powered with a primary focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
Guest access
You are welcome to walk the half mile private road to Kelsey Creek Drive and walk for miles on it. Experienced bike riders ride the loop from Kelsey Creek Drive, off Hwy 29, to Adobe Creek Road then Bell Hill Road back to Hwy 29. Clearlake can be accessed from Lakeport or from Clearlake State Park near Kelseyville. There are a number of parks in the area and easy access to Napa and Sonoma Counties. Water sports are popular on the lake as is fishing. Lake County is a popular birdwatching location and there are numerous events around the county including free music in the park and street dances. If you like antiquing you will not be disappointed. A drive around the lake is a must if you'd like to view the lake, visit antique shops, and have lunch at any number of good restaurants.

I will do my best to help you find what you might need or want. There will be a binder for your use in the apartment which will list local amenities and services.
Other things to note
Please keep in mind this is a no smoking property, inside and out. The apartment is over a barn (with hay) and the setting is natural, meaning dry with high fire danger at certain times of the year. I have created a defensible space but there is still fire danger.
