Long post incoming! but we just wanted to take a moment to share how genuinely grateful and humbled we are to have been able to volunteer our bar, our staff and our time to be a part of this incredible weekend. What an amazing event at the Katy Rice Harvest Festival!!!
Standing out there and looking across the crowd, it was truly heartwarming seeing our entire community come together. There's honestly nothing quite like seeing so many familiar faces, catching up with the neighbors, and watching families, kids and longtime friends enjoying Old Town Katy together all weekend long.
A massive round of applause goes out to the Official - City of Katy and the City of Katy-Parks and Recreation. People don't always get to see the sheer amount of work, coordination, physical prep, and late nights that happen behind closed doors to put on a festival of this magnitude year after year. The City gives back so much to make Katy the special place we all love to call home, and that dedication deserves all the appreciation in the world.
A very special shoutout goes to Kaci, the City's events coordinator for pulling off an event of this scale is a massive undertaking, and her tireless work, dedication, and leadership alongside the entire city team made this whole weekend awesome for us in this community.
To the Rotary Club of Katy, thank you for your incredible contribution to this community and its always awesome knowing how 100% if net proceeds goes right back into our beloved Katy community through student scholarships, local non-profits, and charitable causes! makes every single hour put in that much more meaningful. Knowing the impact this has on our hometown is something we can all be immensely proud of!
And to every single volunteer who showed up, stepped up, and gave their time, you are the true heartbeat of what made that entire festival! Whether you worked a gate, helped with setup, cleaned up, directed traffic, or lent a hand in anyway! a massive, heartfelt applause goes out to every person who took any part in making that event happen! Events like this simply do not exist without your selflessness, and you all deserve a huge shoutout!
We were just grateful to play a small part in it all alongside our fellow local small businesses. Seeing Old Katy Patio and Twins Tavern Katy slinging drinks behind the same counter definitely turned a few heads lol, but competition takes a backseat when it comes to supporting our community. Huge love to Micheal and the amazing Twins crew, and big thanks to Tony from MKT Distillery, LLC for stepping in Saturday morning to help us with setup and jump on the Owner Bartender Shift with us! We need to do this more often! LOL 😁
To our own Old Katy Patio staff: THANK YOU for showing up with smiles! We couldn't be prouder of y'all!!!! a million thanks for volunteering with us and powering through those lines especially Saturday night! We had a blast! 😎
