The Katy Idol judges have 5 different categories:
🎤 Vocal Ability — Range, Flexibility, Pitch, Phrasing, Annunciation, Vocal Energy, etc.
🎶 Song Choice & Arrangement
🔥 Stage Presence — Physical energy, communication with the audience, and use of the stage area
👏 Audience Response
🌟 Overall Performance
For the contest, you may select any genre of music, at least 3 minutes long. You are advised to select a song that shows off your singing ability. You may use a backing track or accompany yourself with a musical instrument. 🎸🎹
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a karaoke contest! There will NOT be any words on the screen! You will be required to sing the song from memory. Use of any device for lyrics will result in automatic disqualification! ⚠️
The winners from each Audition Round will go forward to compete in the Semifinals. You must compete in ONE of the Audition Rounds in order to advance to the Semifinals.
