Its streamlined body allows its swimming to reach such a high velocity that it breaks the surface of the ocean and uses its wing-like fins to glide up to 655 feet. This unique attribute makes it stand out in an ocean full of fish. Like the tobiuo, we, in a world full of sushi restaurants, choose to be different. We choose to break that ocean surface and refuse to be just another sushi restaurant among many. That is why we are Tobiuo. People see our vision and tell us we should have opened a location in the city instead of the suburbs, but our aim is to bring those in the suburbs an innovative taste close to their home reef. We, along with notable Chef Mike Lim, invite you now to enjoy our distinguished cuisine.

It’s been a little bit but we’re so thrilled to finally receive our awards from Katy Taste Fest in February! We had a great time serving the community and we’re so proud to walk away with Judge’s Choice and Most Creative Dish award.

We’ll be celebrating big by hosting a private dinner featuring a 9 course tasting menu cooked and developed by our very own chef .san including cultural influences along his journey. We’re bringing in some heavy hitters this weekend for Valentine’s Day like this Channel Rockfish (ironically named Kinki in Japanese). Hailing from Hokkaido, this beautiful fish has a very high fat content with delicate, buttery white meat.
