🚨 WILDLIFE ALERT — SERVAL SPOTTED IN GRUNDY COUNTY 🐆

Grundy County Animal Control is asking residents to DO NOT APPROACH a serval that has been spotted multiple times in the rural Gardner area.

According to Grundy County Animal Control, officials are currently working to safely trap the animal and have made contact with its owner.

⚠️ IF YOU SEE THE SERVAL:

📍 Do NOT approach, chase, corner, or attempt to capture it.

📱 TEXT 815-351-8495 with the location of the sighting so Animal Control can respond.

A serval is a wild cat native to Africa and is recognizable by its long legs, large ears, and spotted coat. While it may resemble a large domestic cat, residents should give it plenty of space and allow trained personnel to handle the situation.

🐾 Grundy County Animal Control says updates will be provided as efforts continue throughout the weekend.

📲 Please share, especially with residents in Gardner and the surrounding rural areas.
