A humble gathering of veterans assembled at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery June 24 to honor those who served in the Korean War, known to many as “The Forgotten War” because it often fails to receive the attention it deserves.

Anyone who wants to participate can sign up at www.kofc.org/papalnovena, where they can also submit their own prayer intentions. The supreme knight will bring those petitions to Rome later this October, when he goes on pilgrimage for the Jubilee year.

The novena begins on the anniversary of Pope Leo XIV’s priestly ordination and ends on June 27, the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Knights of Columbus unite in prayer for our Holy Father, asking the Lord to strengthen him as he shepherds the people of God with wisdom, compassion, and courage.
