you, the community. All of the LGBTQ+ folx out there. It is you that makes pride so special, living unapologetically and truthfully. Pride to me is being able to express and to share with all your love ones your authentic self at 100%. Pride came from riots, to claim respect and demand equality. We have come along way since then, however we must never stop fighting. Sure our riots look more like celebrations today - let’s not forget they are indeed riots.

The cocktail I created is a celebratory token to all my QU**RS out there. I’ve always been q***r but had to suppress my femininity to keep the world around at ease. Today as I walk this life so authentically me I am not afraid to embrace my femininity. From painting my nails to wearing a flower crown, I am living my best life.

Slay Away
1.5oz Peach Perrier
1oz Vodka 5oz Rosé Vermouth 5oz Lemon Juice25oz Aperol

Add vodka, vermouth, lemon and aperol to mixing shaker. You want to shake for 10 seconds vigorously and strain into a flute glass. Top with Peach Perrier. Finally garnish with a lemon swath.
