We hope you'll help us close out our 2026 Live Music on The Yard at Johnston Town Center calendar with a couple of great shows.

First, at 6:30 pm on Thursday, September 24 we'll welcome The Sheet and Damon Dotson MUSIC to the Town Center Stage for a smooth sounds doubleheader. Tunes at Twilight: The Sheet & Damon Dotson Band

Then, at 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 3 we'll close out the season with Iowa's one and only premier party band The Pork Tornadoes, with an opening set by local favorite The Lamplighters. Sounds of Summer: The Pork Tornadoes

We’re excited to once again be partnering with The Cheese Shop of Des Moines and Meadowlark Provisions on Wednesday, September 9 at 7 p.m. to bring you an informative and fun-filled cheese and w**e pairing event at The Cork 50131.

At this event, we’ll be joined by the one and only C.J. Bienert, owner and founder of The Cheese Shop of Des Moines, and Kevin Roberts, owner and founder of Decorah-based Meadowlark Provisions.

For the w**e, Kevin will be presenting 6 different and delicious NON-RIESLING w**es from his fantastic German portfolio, including a lovely Silvaner (a fairly rare and unique white w**e grape) and a refreshing chilled Trollinger (a light red w**e grape generally grown in and near the Alpine foothills of Germany and Italy). C.J. will share the story of several cheeses he’s selected from his store to complement and enhance our experience of these w**es.

The event fee is $55 per person ($50 for w**e club members). The w**es presented will also be available for pre-sale purchase and pick up on Kevin’s next delivery date.
