Vision & Grit Music Festival

Vision & Grit Music Festival "The most magical weekend in CT!" ™
Music, Community, and Camping. With collective grit we carved our own concert venue from old Yankee forest.

About the concert:

Tucked away in the rural farmland of Griswold, Connecticut, "Vision & Grit" brings together award-winning bands, artists, and food vendors from all over New England for one magical weekend a year. Founded by David Irwin and hosted at Brookwood Olney farm, the festival (now in its fourth year) has become a staple of Connecticut and New England festival-goers. It all started with

a vision, 180 acres of land, a farm, and a deep love for music and the arts. The stage crafted from the trees of the forest, the campgrounds nestled away on spots of old pasture and the walking trails all promise to add a sense of magic and mystery to your weekend. Vision & Grit is the epitome of a home-grown music festival. Doubling in size each year, it has proven its place amongst the most prestigious music festivals in the area. FESTIVAL DETAILS (Keep checking back for updates):
FOOD:

Prepared food will be available to purchase on all three days. Make sure to bring cash if you want to purchase food from the trucks. We also encourage you to bring food and other cooking equipment. We kindly ask that there are no open flames. There is a communal bonfire by the concert site -- you are welcome to cook some food there if you wish. TICKETS:

Advanced tickets are available at a discounted rate. Weekend and day passes are available. Tickets can be purchased at http://visionandgrit.bpt.me/
DRINKS:

This festival is BYOB. Please DO NOT bring glass bottles. And, of course, bring trash bags to collect your empties. There will be running water at the entrance to the concert site so you can refill water bottles, but liquor and beer is NOT for sale on the premises, so bring enough for you and to share! CAMPING:

There are multiple sites for camping around the farm. All have access to portable restrooms and the concert site. Camp spots are first come, first served. There are plenty of spots and we have never run out in the past, but if you want your pick of the litter, come early. This year we are dividing campsites into family, quiet, and party areas. Signs will designate which site is which. HOTEL ACOMMODATIONS:

We have secured a discounted rate at AmericInn in Griswold and Quality Inn in Plainfield, both just a few short miles from the farm.
- AmericInn in Griswold has offered a rate of $109.00 for Friday Night and $149.00 for Saturday Night. Guests just need to mention Vision and Grit.
- Quality Inn will give Vision & Grit guests a 20% discount on their regular rates if use promotion code LQH20. Regular rooms include two queen sized beds.
- These are not reserved rooms so people should book them quickly. PETS:

Please DO NOT bring your pets. There are other animals on the farm and our first concern is always safety for you and your furry friend!

Ok folks, I have been putting this off for far too long. Clare, Althaea, and I have moved to northern Vermont and therefore do not have the capacity to put on Vision & Grit this year. We have entertained the idea of hosting a campout on our new property but it doesn't look like it will happen this year. I know that I should have posted this a long time ago but it has been hard letting go of what we all have created out in Griswold. Thank you all for your support and enthusiasm over the years. I continue to be inspired by what we pulled together out there in the woods. Lean on me my friends.
