Wayne County's is currently participating in University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute's PROPEL program. PROPEL (Planning Rural Opportunities for Prosperity and Economic Leadership) is a nationally recognized program that leads rural communities through a multi-step process focusing on economic development to assist communities like us with resources to support community development strategies.

On Thursday, June 18 at Cracker Williams Recreation Center, we invite you to a community listening session to share ideas, discuss priorites and help shape a long term vision for WC's future! Participants will then be asked a series of questions about Wayne County’s strengths, challenges, opportunities, and priorities for the future and a QR code-based polling platform that will allow citizens to submit responses anonymously using their phones.
All feedback collected through the polling platform will be compiled and used to help inform the community vision and PROPEL strategic priorities.

It was a great day celebrating the ribbon cutting for Kiley’s Bowtique right here in the heart of downtown! Events like this are a reminder of the energy, growth, and community spirit that make Downtown Jesup the place to be.

We encourage everyone to come experience it for yourself, visit Kiley’s Bowtique and take time to shop, dine, and explore all of our downtown businesses. All of our merchants play an important role in making downtown vibrant, welcoming, and uniquely Jesup.💗

🏃‍♂️ Anchored's 4th Annual Be Kind to Your Mind Run Happens Tomorrow in Downtown Jesup! 🏃‍♀️

Please be advised that runners will be making their way through the downtown area tomorrow morning during the Anchored Run 1 Mile and 5K races! 🚧

📣 Race Times:
🕗 1 Mile Race begins at 8:00 AM
🕣 5K Race begins at 8:30 AM

🚨 Use caution while traveling through Downtown Jesup — watch for runners and be prepared for brief delays as participants make their way along the race routes.

🙌 We encourage the community to come out and cheer them on! Let’s show our support for these amazing runners and help create a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere!

🛍️ After the race, participants can enjoy exclusive perks from our participating downtown merchants — a great opportunity to support local businesses while celebrating a strong finish!
