There has been much speculation of the future of The Rock Around the Block Event that takes place at the end of August. To put rumors to bed and inform the general public, the event will not take place as it has in the past, on Main Street at the end of August. The Board, the committee and the stakeholders all agree that the event will continue on, and will evolve. This year Rock Around the Block will partner with Janesville Irish-fest to hold an event on Main Street on October 6th. This event will be called Sham-Rock Around the Block, and will be put together to support the greater community wide event that is planned for October. This does not mean the end for Rock Around the Block, but instead an evolution to become a greater community event organization, with numerous endeavors to pursue. We hope that support for these events and activities continues and we will continue to promote and host events and festivals for the Janesville community to enjoy.

Rock Around the Block has been put on hold for the time being. I assure you that we will do whatever we can to bring this great event back.

50/50 Raffle Drawing will be at Noon tomorrow at Wiggy's! The winning ticket is worth over $1,000 and counting! We will be selling tickets until around 11:50 am tomorrow, so stop in if you would like a chance to win some major bucks! What would you do with that kind of loot?!
