Turtle Swamp was the historical name for the lowlands between Forest Hills and Jackson Square, a “swamp” that was a perfect, natural filter for the waters that flowed through it. This crystal clear water was ideal for making beer, and many breweries flourished here. After 6 years, we have chosen to close the doors of Turtle Swamp Brewing’s taproom and production brewery in Jamaica Plain. The last day to visit the brewery to enjoy a pint on the patio will be Saturday, August 19th.
