Slingin Shanks is owned and operated in Jacksonville, NC. Home of the famous Camp Lejeune Marine Corps base.
We being this close to so many Marines and veterans hits a little different sometimes. Having never served myself, sometimes it includes a much higher sense of pride and others it is a much higher sense of taking things for granted.
But either way none of us would know anything about these colors without them. Them being the ones who served, the ones still serving and most of all the ones who will never stop serving because they didn't make it back.
Wether you support the government, the political views, or your current situation, I ask that you support those who didn't make it back.
It's not about one single person in office, one group that leans one way or another. It's about laying down your life for someone you didn't even know.
