Our Story

We have a beautiful rotating wine list, tasty handmade tapas, paninis, fresh sangria, original sparkling cocktails, fabulous Jell-o shots, and fun everyday and live music on the weekends!

History The Wine Bar has evolved over the years, currently it is a great place to stop in and have happy hour, hang out with friends, or use our wi-fi to prepare for class or your next presentation. It's not too loud, it's a pleasant and friendly atmosphere during the day. As the day progresses, so does the activity!

Then there are the evenings, yes - we are known for lively evenings. We have something every night! In addition to our Award Winning Best Wine List in Jacksonville, we also have a wonderful selection of ci**rs available for smoking in our outdoor patio, as well as, beer and non-alcoholic drinks for those who have a taste for something other than wine.

Joe Kenny opened The Wine Bar in January of 2009. Joe asked his brother Dan, who is a contractor in the Tampa area, to do the build out for The Wine Bar. Dan created a masterpiece as he built the U-shaped, all wood bar that Joe had spent countless hours designing. Joe based the final version of what he wanted the bar to be on what he felt was the best of what he had seen visiting establishments all over the US and Europe. He says, "with the "U-shaped" bar, you are never sitting at the bar alone and can always make a new acquaintance." All hand crafted, stained and sealed....Dan made Joe's vision a reality. The beautiful bar is still the centerpiece of TWB.
