Cowboy Tears is quite representative of the style — VERY light, flavorful, crisp, and oh so refreshing! Cream Ale was created in the 1840’s by US brewers trying to compete with the newly introduced and very popular German lagers. The name Cream Ale is misleading. It’s really not an ale! We brewed ours with lager yeast. There’s no cream! That term refers to the silky smooth mouthfeel. Had they existed at the time, it would likely have been named Lawnmower Lager. Available exclusively in our Ipswich taproom.
