We are hosting our local Soccer Shoot on Sunday. Any kids up to age 15 are welcome to compete.

Kids 7 and under will compete in the 5 Goal Contest where they will get 3 kicks at each goal for points. The 5 goals will progressively get smaller, making it more difficult to earn points.

Kids 8-15 will compete in the Grid Goal Contest. They will have 15 kicks at the grid, earning points for each specific grid.

The 1st place winners from each age division will advance to the District Soccer Shoot to be held on Sunday, September 20th in Parsons.

A few of the members from our newly formed Elks Riders Association went on a breakfast and bowling fun run this morning.

If you are interested in joining the Elks Riders Association, talk to an Elks member about joining the Elks. You’ll have to be an Elks member for 60 days before you can apply to be a member of the Riders Association.

The Elks Lodge is looking for a part time bartender. Apply at The Elks Lodge, 202 S. Jefferson Ave in Iola. Applications may be picked up at the lodge between 4:30 pm and 8:00 pm.
