We are so excited to have Ronnie Marmo and his amazing group of performers in Iola telling these important & thought provoking stories this weekend! Thank you for allowing us to bring Ronnie in to share his story with you today!

Ronnie Marmo was on WGN (Chicago) last week. He’s performed on big stages on both coasts and places in between. He’s at the Bowlus Fine Arts Center this Friday & Saturday doing several shows. But today, he took time out to stop by our Recovery Court session at the courthouse and talk to the participants.

Ronnie didn't stop in to promote his shows. He stopped in to give back some of what he received over three decades ago. He shared bad choices he made at an early age that led to him being in a program similar to ours back in New Jersey. He shared parts of his rough journey that were eerily similar to what some in attendance had or were experiencing and how he was able to attain and now maintain his sobriety. He talked about those in his life that made a difference and allowed him to be, as of September 3, drug-, alcohol-, and cigarette-free for the past 36 years!.

SEK Recovery Resources provided tickets to "Bill W. and Dr. Bob", a show directed by Ronnie, which is described as "A powerful, funny, and profoundly inspirational story detailing the events that led to the creation of Alcoholics Anonymous."
