is a one-day ukulele event featuring all things ukulele for all skill levels! Whether you are an absolute beginner, an intermediate player or a pro, participants in Uketoberfest! will have the opportunity to meet others of like-mind and develop or enhance their skills on this fun, guitar-like instrument. The event will kick off in the morning with an enjoyable, open-group strum and will lead into
a day of elective masterclass mini-sessions specific to the uke player on basic music theory for the uke, beginning harmonica, blues ukulele, common jazz progressions, altered tunings, basic fingerpicking, songs of the sixties, and the basics of bass to enhance your uke group. The day will conclude with a late afternoon faculty concert and group strum. An optional post-event gathering will offer an open mic setting for participants looking for further fellowship and the opportunity to perform.
