KAI'S MUSIC GARDEN is a brand representing ticketed entertainment events held at the two farm venues: East Garden features a 16 x 16 x 12-foot stage which can be viewed from the food hall (seats 150) and the adjacent courtyard which we estimate will seat about 1,000 after demolition of the packing house in 2021. The second venue, the West Garden, features a 32 x 24 x 17-foot stage complimented by

a spacious food and beverage service building. No events are scheduled until the licensed food service facility is completed.

Progress toward reopening the East Garden stage venue. June: move walk in coolers, tear down old barn, regrade surface for improved drainage, relocate two shipping containers to support new shed to serve as tractor garage and in future will provide cover for guests. Shopping for Clearspan style building to sit atop containers. In between this structure and existing East Garden is space for 50x100 temporary building or tent. Through the years Diane has been 100% supporter and whip; What a blessing.

Update we are creeping toward hosting music events, GOD, Martin County Government and Public willing. Our kitchen is built. Next step is becoming a licensed food service facility. That's held up because we don't own the right POS system for retail food service. Finally we need one more building for refrigeration, green rooms and office at which point we will tear down the original shipping container packing house to make room for larger audiences say about 1,500. Just a few hundred-thousand $ to go. In the meantime we have gained invaluable experience hosting our ticketed dining events and the numerous private celebrations. I have discovered that the back of the house needs to be robust in order to handle the large transaction numbers associated with ticketed events where food and beverage are sold. We are working on that. Our decades of working with top chefs have given us a network of advisors to draw from.

Update. The venue is operational for private events. Next milestone: become a licensed food service facility as an agritourism venue. Very tricky as local ordinances are not in place. Tallahassee which regulates restaurants may see things differently than local government. It's all about 'home rule' vs. Tallahassee.

This page is the live music portal for Kai-Kai Farm . Diane and Carl Frost co-owners have made major infrastructure upgrades for hosting concerts including large air-conditioned restrooms, a huge dual-purpose packing house/kitchen (under construction) and a warehouse for props and gear. Our goal is to feed our guests with farm fresh produce and entertain with international talent. Capacity will depend upon how Martin County Government receives this but up to 1,000 guests is quite feasible. We have one permanent stage and one big mobile stage ready. Our kitchen project awaits final plumbing, electrical and exhaust hood followed by licensing and insurance. Finally we will demolish the old barn and we will rock. (updated 9/19/2022 CF)

Max and architect David Porter have created the template for the future appearance/style of farm entertainment venue. This is the East Garden stage roof truss and corner columns. Eventually the East Garden hall will be replaced with something more substantial and slightly larger with similar construction theme as stage.

For those of you who remember our trial series of concerts in 2018 you will appreciate how much bigger the audience space will become without the container "village" at stage left.
