Crackers Comedy Downtown Closing -
It is with deep sadness that I must announce that Crackers Comedy is closing its doors for the time being. It has been my pleasure and honor to have served you for the last four decades. We had a fabulous winter season, and there is nothing I’m more proud of than to have brought so many great comedians to Indianapolis.
I would also like to mention and thank Gerry Gobel for his hard work and commitment in running our Open Mic nights, in addition to the comedy courses he established to help nurture the incredible up-and-coming comedy talent here in Indy.
I am proud that we have overcome many challenges over the years. However, as many of you have experienced, it has been a difficult few years, and I can no longer financially support the $500,000 liquor license liability insurance, in addition to constantly being short-staffed, on my own.
I am blessed to have had an amazing partner and landlord, Tony Mehra. If you are ever in the mood for Indian food, please support his restaurant, India Garden.
For your future laughter needs and comedy relief, please support Helium Comedy Club along with all the open mics around town. Comedians always need an audience. They cannot do it without you.
All tickets for Patti Vasquez will be refunded immediately along with any unused gift certificates. Please allow 5-7 business days for it to show up in your account.
As far as the future is concerned, I am not sure, however, I am looking forward to being able to spend more time with my family.
